About Empyre
Born from skate culture. Shaped by the streets. Since 1999, we’ve crafted denim for people who move.
Our Story
Since 1999, we’ve been building Empyre from the inside of skate culture — not as observers looking in, but as riders, skaters, and street-level creatives who needed denim that could keep up. We started with a simple idea: make jeans tough enough for the park, comfortable enough for all-day sessions, and styled to look as good off the board as on it.
Our earliest designs came from listening to what skaters actually needed. Wider legs for movement. Reinforced stitching that wouldn’t rip at the seams after a hard bail. Fabric that stretched without losing its shape. We took those needs and turned them into our signature loose fit — a silhouette that defined Empyre and helped shape what streetwear denim looks like today.
Over the years, we’ve grown from a single fit into a full collection spanning baggy jeans, ultra loose and ultra wide silhouettes, corduroy pants, jorts, and denim for women and kids. But the core mission hasn’t changed: build denim that works for real life, at prices that respect our community.
What We Build
We design every pair of Empyre jeans from the pattern up. Our team drafts each fit — loose, ultra loose, ultra wide, skate — as its own unique silhouette, not a scaled-up version of something else. That means our baggy jeans drape the way they should, our wide legs have genuine width, and our skate denim delivers unrestricted range of motion.
Our fabric blend combines cotton for structure, polyester for durability, and spandex for stretch. We test our materials against the kind of abuse skaters deliver: knee slides, grip tape friction, repeated washing, and long days of movement. The result is denim that breaks in beautifully without breaking down.
Beyond jeans, we’ve expanded into corduroy pants with retro-inspired textures, denim jorts for warm-weather sessions, and a growing women’s and youth collection. Every piece in the Empyre lineup shares the same construction philosophy: build it to last, make it comfortable, keep it affordable.
Our Commitment
We believe great streetwear shouldn’t come with a premium price tag. Every decision we make — from fabric sourcing to construction methods — is guided by a commitment to delivering real quality at accessible prices. Here’s what drives us:
Skate-First Design
Every fit starts on the board. We design for movement, durability, and performance — then refine for style.
Accessible Quality
Premium denim construction at prices our community can actually afford. No markup, no hype tax.
Authentic Culture
We don’t chase trends — we build from the culture we live in. Skate, street, and everything in between.
The Empyre Community
What started as denim for skaters has become a movement that spans generations. Our community includes park riders who need jeans that survive concrete, college students who adopted our baggy fits as their signature style, and parents who trust our kids’ line to handle everything from the school yard to the skate park.
The Y2K fashion resurgence brought a wave of new fans to Empyre, and we’ve embraced that growth without losing sight of where we came from. Our ultra wide and ultra loose fits became streetwear staples because they’re rooted in something real — not manufactured hype, but genuine skate culture DNA that resonates with anyone who values comfort, quality, and self-expression.
We’re proud that our jeans are worn by people who move through the world with confidence, whether they’re landing tricks or simply living their lives. That’s the Empyre community, and it’s always growing.
